I was given a guided "striper" fishing trip for Christmas!
Question... When is the best time of year to be on Texoma for the trip?

Spring: May/June/sometimes into July. Great top water action
Fall: sometimes late October, November and in December the big fish are on sometimes into January.

In the winter you'll catch lots of really big fish, but you can only keep two per person. I fished with Jon Hoppis last winter, I think in February, and between me and one other guy we caught over 40 overs. Winter is my favorite time to fish for sure.

Thanks. I went striper fishing back in high school once... Think we spent most of the time messing with the rat nests we created...think maybe we had trouble with the boat also... Not the best experience

Right now is a pretty good time to be fishing the big pond.
