As in all the new imaging techniques etc...what suggestions would you have in finding fish? It's no secret the advantage of new technology, but people caught good fish on a consistent basis long before. What do Yall suggest?

Technology is great and no doubt it helps you locate fish but you are right it does not make them bite.I am in the same situation you are I slow down when I do catch a few and try to cover the area more thoroughly.

Technology mainly saves time. You can find the same spots with older technology it just takes more time looking.

Ha...grew up on stillhouse and back then all you had to do was throw a lure around the island and you were good. You didn't even need sonar. I'm now at a disadvantage there as there still are some good fish pulled out but seem to be caught by anglers with good electronics that can find deep water fish. This may not always be true but I know it helps

I wasnt sold on the side imaging until I saw a fishing show with Joe Thomas and Lance Vick on Fork...they were idling by bridge pilings looking for fish and boy did they find them. I know you can still find and catch those same fish without SI BUT...it just saves you a ton of time....I sure wish I had one!....LOL!

If you have a many bridge pilings, only a few will be holding fish. The imaging technology will show you which one/s like this:
