Read the label on a jug of quicksilver DFI.It says it is recommended for Mercury optimax and other direct injected engines. Is it not ok to use regular oil in the opti?

it is best to use the recommended oil in the dfi motors you are using much less oil an gas than a carb or efi so what goes in needs to be good.

I am not shure I buy all of the 2cycle oil hype. Have seen test where Pennsoil premium blend was hard to beat. I know some of the Merc high performance outboard motor builders use it.
