All,

I'm off work next week, and would like to catch my first ever flounder. My dad and I will be fishing the Surfside jetty for pompanos. Since we will be there the whole day, I also want to try flounders, but don't know a good spot. By looking on Google map, there is the Swan Lake. Have anyone fished this lake? Will there be flounders? Thanks

Swan Lake is shallow. Water temps have cooled off to the point I don't think you'd have much luck there. If your bank fishing I would suggest the base of the jetty on the chanel side. Or the hole by the Coast Guard station. Live mud minnows slow drag across the bottom. Good Luck !

If you are going to the jetty anyway, you can hook flounder in the flats on the inside of the jetty where the rocks start. Most people wade, but that water is gonna be cold!
I've never caught a lot in Swan Lake, other than crabs.
