Hope they don't have mostly home crafts like in the past. And I don't go to a fishing show to get hounded to buy energy efficient roofing. Lol

I think the guy who runs the Dallas Boat Show tried to combine the Fishing/Hunting Show with the Dallas Boat Show, Which had no chance to be a hit.

I just with this show was more central located in Dallas Market or D/FW Market, it really think it would draw more people.

Lets hope not, I have no issues with vendors tyring to sell good at a show, but at least make it same industry.

Like Guided Salmon trip to Alaska, not scented candles, or selling metal cookware......

We make it a requirement for our venues to have free parking for our attendees. This is one reason why we chose the Mesquite Convention Center and Mesquite Rodeo Arena. Mesquite also had a strong reputation for having a great tackle show in the past, so are trying to bring back that tradition. There was no facility that was as accomodating to our square footage needs that offered free parking. These facilities have been great to work with so far. We appreciate your suggestion though RedRanger.

The show is coming together in such a big way this year and have had so much Texas hospitality from locals wanting to see a good come back to the Mesquite area. We are so thankful for everyone who is making this possible for 2013. See you guys at the show!

+1 ... Mesquite is a beater of a trip from the west side of the Metroplex, and even worse now with all the road construction and weekend road/lane closures.

How is it a whip!! I-20 is easy from the west side!! I just bought a truck from Moritz Chevrolet in West FW and travel time was 50 mins from the Tackle show area!!

I live in Sachse and traveled to Arlington several times for the show. For me it is nice for it to be a little closer. Maybe they should offer a discount if you showed a current fishing or hunting license??

12 bucks is too much for an admission...
Not going

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

You guys fuss to much over a few bucks. Driving up from Houston to go to the show. You can come to our "all saltwater" event each year if you like.
