Well guys we are making progress! Thanks to all who were able to make the meeting today at Bass Pro Shops Grapevine, to help iron out the details below. As most of you know this is a guide/customer event. Each guide boat can have 1 or 2 other participants and the goal is to help drive revenue for the Lake Fork guides and community, during what is typically a slow time of the year. This will take place on January 12th, 2013 at Lake Fork Texas with the weigh-in being held at Lake Fork Marina{LFM}.
A BIG THANKS to our very own ChrisR for offering up, not one, not two, but THREE - BIG GREEN EGG's for the winning team/boat!!! These grills cost about $900.00 a piece, so thats a $2,700.00 GIFT for the winning team/boat! Also, our good friends at Santone Lures have agreed to participate, as well Lake Fork Marina{LFM} and we greatly appreciate their continued support! We are currently looking for other sponsors, so stay tuned for updates on those in the coming weeks.
Tournament hours are 8am - 4pm Saturday January 12th...Boats need to be at the ramp at LFM by 4pm. You are free to launch where ever you want, but the official start time{first cast} is 8am and the weigh-in will take place at 4pm. When we say at the ramp
Just be within view of the ramp at 4pm and no fishing AFTER 4pm.
Best 5 fish weight on paper wins {scoring sheets will be sent out to contestants prior to the event}. You must take a single photograph/picture of each of your best 5 fish being weighed on a digital scale, with the weight viewable in the picture {we suggest cameras on cell phones for quick review at weigh-in}
Any digital scale is fine guys, we realize not all scales arent created equal and weights could vary ever so slightly, but thats ok, this is just for FUN - Please remember that. Also, please have your pictures ready at weigh-in with your scoring sheet for the TD to review. You can also bring in your best 1 under the slot bass and your best 1 over the slot bass of your 5 fish limit {limit 5 fish per team/boat}...We do want to see some fish at weigh-in!
JP Greeson and Just Wingem have agreed to provide a plaque with the names and picture of the winners, as well as TFF Hoodies for each of the winning contestants
We are working on a place to display this plaque and hope to announce that soon
Our goal is to make this an annual event so the plaque will live in infamy at each lake with new winners each year...We hope to have similar events at other lakes across Texas in 2013, so please be looking for those in the future. We will also have a TFF photographer on hand for a group picture at the end of the day and hopefully some on the water action!
This event and concept is a work in progress folks...Its idea I came up with a few months ago and one I/we hope to learn from as we go and to be able to refine and repeat going forward
So please be patient as we work out any last minute details. THE IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER HERE...This event is for fun, fellowship and bragging rights
PERIOD! There is ZERO entry fees for this other than the guides fee and all prizes are being DONATED BY TFF MEMBERS AND SPONSORS!

-Start time 8am to 4pm {weigh-in at LFM at 4pm}
-Format Best 5 fish per boat/team on paper, pictures of best 5 fish limit required and can include 1 best under slot bass and 1 best over slot bass to be weighed and released
-Group dinner {optional} TBD for the night of the 12th
-Group TFF/Guides picture LFM during and after weigh-in the night of the 12th
If there were a Mission Statement for this event it would be for fishermen like us and the Texas Fishing Forum{TFF} to give back to the fishing community, and to continue the TFF Brotherhood!!!
