I fished from mid February to mid June in the Flat creek area every evening. I caught 1 crappie. I hope 2013 is as good or better than 2012.

Hey sorry to hear that you did not do any good. Hope you have a better year also. Start off the year by hitting the creeks. The fishing should start picking up in about two weeks or so. Try a light blue body with a little bit of silver sparlke and chartreuse tail. Put your tube jig on either a 1/16th oz or 1/32oz head. I also perfer a #4 or #6 black nickle sickle hook. Then rig that below a slip cork in about 1 1/2 feet of water. You should start of the year with a good number of fish. Also if the catch is still slow. There are still fish hanging on the bridge poles in the channels. I hope this helps you out. If you need and tackle supplies I can help with that also. Best regards Josh @ BONEHEAD TACKLE

I don't know where you guy's were fishing on Flat Creek but June & July 2012 were the best a buddy of mine & I have seen in years. We both fished the mini Slab Bandit in Pearl Truse around the 315 bridge pilings and on every outing we caught limits or near limits (probably over a dozen between us of 20+ fish). Some fairly descent fish too. Not the 15-16 inch plus fish found out in the main lake timber & brushpile's but solid keeper's up to 1 to 1 1/2#. I agree with Robert too, that 2013 should be even better. Likewise, if you see me out in my blue & white Stratos (also with a Slab Bandit logo on it & PEPOP on the windshield), pull up & hollar at me.
