My wife is a nursing instructor at SFA in Nacogdoches! She goes to Ecuador with a church here for a medical mission trip! Last year she was offered a terrific opportunity to start a medical mission trip with her nursing students! She is super stoked about this opportunity and really wants it to be a success. She has been asking me of ways to raise money to help her students raise money for the trip so after many many thoughts on how to help her I've come to the conclusion that maybe TFFers might want to help! I've never held a raffle before and not really sure how to do so! If we were to offer a nice rod in a raffle how many of y'all would be willing to compete in the raffle? Pls any suggestions are good ones. I really want to help her make this mission trip successful so it can be a yearly event for her students! The students are having to pay their own ways and we all know how hard that can be for a college student!

I came to bass fishing because it's the only fishing I know so I could assure you whatever the prize is it would be a good one!

We have had several raffles in our bass club to raise money and it seems to be the best way to raise money. A good reel or custom rod would be a great way to start. Im in if you start one!

As mentioned, a raffle is good and another idea is to have a fund raising bass tournament with proceeds helping the mission trip. Sometimes the local businesses will donate tournament prizes.
