I fish there year round and will be down there for a while starting the 26th.

Just had 2 friends there last week and for 2 days my phone got blown up with pics. All solid fish between 3 and 8.

Living in west Texas I have seen this whole suspending fish and Droughtmore than a few times over the last 30 years.

I have been down 5 times this year and have always done better than what the reports were saying.

UM...this thread interested me...and then I looked at the tournament info...20 boats and 3 nine pounders in the boat....LOL...seriously!

Every lake will have its days....not many days on many lakes where 20 boats will bring in 3 - 9's on a bad day!

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

3 9#ers....but there were some pretty good fishermen on the lake and most had fished here many times...and lot's of prefishing...no BS...the fishing's tough as it gets, but the chance to catch one is there...just don't expect to catch many. I fish everyday, all winter...and talk to the guides...it's tough for all except for guys like Shawn...he always catches lot's of monsters! just kidding Shawn!

You think they can stay suspended during the spawn?

Look like I said earlier....... I have seen this before and they have to come to the bank to spawn. If you think Falcon is tough right now, You should fish Ivie. bang

I would recommend if bringing a big group that you take a look at bedandbass.biz

They have a really nice house to offer a group your size to stay in.

None of these Hoosier's keep bass!

Don, Billy and Bed and bass all run great operations.
Billy's is brand new and inn the best part of town. Definitely look inn too them, with two boats and up to 8 people.
Don has some deals and sometimes a private ramp.
With a group your size u might want to look down to Falcon Heights.

Carlos could swing a group like yours and make it simple. U would be at the deepest end of the lake and would be able to launch from bank with 4x4's in worse case scenario.
There are no restraunt's there but in Roma 15 mile out and Rio Grande 20 you would be able to find bigger grocery stores, a whataburger and chilis as well as a few other eateries.
As of today County ramp is two lanes capable and state park is one lane. That is the two primary ramps available. cool
Thanks for not keeping the fish. smile banana
Share the lake and be safe. coach
Tight lines! fishl
