Rates for rooms run from $55 a night to $120. I like to stay at the Holiday Inn Express. Cheaper place would be Oso Blanco or the Best WEstern. If you're going to meet a guide check with them to make sure they don't have a "partner" hotel.
My last trip it never blew less than 25mph, so I had 3 wasted days. Hope you have better conditions- the fish are there!

Ive never had an issue with theft there. I take everything valuable inside at night. Holiday is very well lit.
Make sure you have good maps and GPS. It can get REAL rough and never can be certain regarding cartel activity when venturing south.
Im headed back in February..lemme know what the lake looks like. It was 35' low when I was there in early Nov.

If you put in at the county ramp, beware of the under water bridge. There are restriction cones in the middle of the cove, make sure you stay to the right of the cones. Your lower unit will thank you!! The fishing is pretty tough right now , for me anyway. Good luck!!

Not wanting to hijack this thread or anything, but I've heard alot about this bridge (I've never been) and was just curious if anyone has ever caught any fish off this bridge, or even bothered fishing it?
