I kinda figured the fish were "on" yesterday afternoon...every herd of cattle we saw coming back from Greenville about 4 pm were standing up, feeding, and JV would be out there wearin' 'em out!

Very cool JV... Was that song the "Tawakoni Tap!" When we fished Saturday someone asked about recording the banging sound and playing it into the water. I was kidding and said they have that- it's called the Hydrowave... Matt the Fish Whisperer mentioned he was meeting the Hyrdrowave guys and talking about a tapping recording. They come out with that and I know a bunch of us will buy it. Nice mess of fish and man that lake looked calm....

It was a great afternoon to be on the water, it is hard to believe it is the end of December with this type of weather. We caught fish at several locations. John has that beat down to a science!!

It was great to fish with JV, because of my work schedule and his we do not get to do it often enough.

Had the privilege to fish with repeat guest Top and he brought his buddy Hi started at 1:00 pm and fished till Dark ... Pulled up to the first spot and we had fish on within a matter of minutes ... That died and we check another spot with just a couple of fish ... I told Top the wind has died and let's go threw out the old drift sock and started hammering huge white bass , then a hybrid that HI lost we made the same drift for 2 hours and boated close to 100 white bass and was throwing fish back ... We had very good luck with the SSS slabs from www.moestackleshop.com and topped off with a 3" curly tail grub that absolutely dominated today when you marked fish ... Hit bottom , reel up 4 cranks and hag on ... It was frustrating at first to the 2 newbie dead stickers ... But man , once they got a hang of it they were on fire as the afternoon went on I told them lets go looking ... And boy did we end up with a little surprise at the end HYBRIDS !!!! Swirling the water if you know what I am talking about I don't know how many 16-17 inch ones we let go but we caught some nice keepers they loved the Nanner Sassy shads ....fishing only gets better as the water cools ... All fish caught on lures described above from www.moestackleshop.com in 27-38 ft water ... Winds were started North 12-15 but dies to almost zero ... Water temps were 55-57 degrees ... Thanks guys ... It was a blast ... If anybody is interested this can be a great time of year give me a shout

We were there today and caught one of everything. Largemouth, yellow bass, catfish, short hybrid and a sandbass. Only there for a couple of hours. Marked fish but couldn't find the big schools. Saw you going under the bridge as we were heading towards Harbor Bay to go home. Blue Sea Hunt. Glad to see you guys killed them.

Man that is awesome!! Hubbard is really looking great right now. It sounds like deadsticking is getting into full swing. John taught my son some new techniques yesterday while I was working the boat. For you guys that want to get in on some great winter fishing call John, school is in session!!
