I know this happens now and then to all sandbass anglers, but I felt this was a good pic to post . Thought he had a striper. By the way, the sandbass angling on Granbury continues to be about as good as it gets anywhere. You can cull a limit of big sandbass most days.

Haven't been on this site in a few days. The lake is now 6 feet low and i believe the ramp at the dam is closed. Maybe able to get a real small boat launched there. I have been putting in at the ramp between the City Beach and the Resort Center/Hilton. Unfortunately, you have to park just across the street in Hewitt Park. Which is about a half mile walk once you park the trailer. There is a dock, but you will need a ladder from your boat to get on it. Best to have two people. Wade out with rubber boots and jump on the boat. I usually have to check the entire lake to the dam (don't have to, but it is a good haul to the dam and i look for birds the entire way). Have been catching them on the lower ends by the power lines and Decordova however right across from the launch in town is a good spot too. the Rock pile by Bentwater is a good choice and Hunter Park area is probably where numerous fish are staged (haven't been there yet). I believe the lake is too low for the fish in the lake to get to Tin Top, however I have heard reports that folks are catching sandbass up there near the deeper holds as well (if you can get a boat in).
I like morning but, i have slayed them in the pm as well. Look for the birds hovering. Majority of the fish are in 20 to 30 feet when not schooling. Bite has been fairly consistent with the predicted feeding times.
Good Luck, Hope that helps!
