From what I have read and been told, the dam and bridges are the places to go for winter time Crappie. I've never been to Fork. What would be the best ramp to put in at when fishing these areas? Also I don't have a GPS, so any advice on navigating Fork would be greatly appreciated.

Oakridge or the 154 public ramp is the best place to put in for the most well known crappie areas of the lake. As far as navigating the lake make sure you follow the marked boat lanes. Its not hard to find the crappie just look for the hoards of boats and fish in 30 feet of water.
Two things in life you can never have to much of. Money or Fun!

A good place would Bell point. But like Mark said, look for the boats. They will show you where the fish are, but not if they are biting. Be diverse in our attack. Minnows and many different colors of jigs. Also tandem up your jigs or use jig and minnow combo. Help this helps. If you are out there this weekend, I'll be driving a black and gold G3 pontoon tri log. Stop by and I'll fill you in on what's going at the time. Good luck to you!

All of what you are hearing is true. You don't have to run far from oak ridge to find fish. Stop in and see Barry and Tracy at Oak ridge, they are some of the finest on the Lake. Great food too!!!!!!!

30' is a little shallow this time of year. 1 week ago they were biting best at 36 - 38. Fish were hanging deeper but they were feeding at this depth. I have fished as deep as 50 in the winter. For the first time on Fork I got whites at a 14 to 1 ratio. Usually get a majority of blacks.
