Well I went out yesterday afternoon for a few hours and there were no shad or bass present in the hydrilla where they are usually stacked. Went out to the main creeks and marked tons of shad and sandies along with some blacks. Threw a C rig for a bit only caught 3 little dinks on it. Tossed a spoon around and nothing. They're transitioning right now I suppose and it's tough to catch 'em!! Only luck I've had is on a 20ft brush pile lol. I won a tournament on eagle mountain on Saturday so I'd suggest y'all fish there!! Ha

Try shallow crankbaits where there is no grass. Been working great for me, nothing big though. A lot of shad up shallow before dark.

I was out there on Saturday and had some luck with cranks and small plastic worms near rocks.

Took the wife out on Sunday morning thinking the fishing would be good. She beat me 1 to 0.... she landed the dink by the bridge on our way in to the Oasis for lunch.

I hate this lake!

I'm surprised it gets so tough in the winter, especially with all the grass!

I got a 6 and a 7 on Sunday in the grass. They were shallow (8') but very close to deep water. Also 5 little fish and a few bites from fish smaller than the hooks. It's a puzzle every time I go out there, especially if I've been at Fork.

I fished west of the lynn creek on the south, first cove in the trees in 8' of water (north east of loyd). I figured 7' to 8' would be the spot.

Saw lots of movement ahead of us and behind us but no takers!
