I was tempted to buy some of those Tuff Tip rods but I don't know how long the handle is. I will probably see Bob and get a couple proanglers.

It holds over 300 yrds of 30lb mono and has a 33 pound drag. I've had mine for over a year now and they have been rock solid. I bought one of those giant Daiwa reels and it fell apart after a couple of trips, had to return it.

Get the SSM70a or 80 Paul  I believe the 70/80 are the same reel with diff spools and the 60/50 are the same.........I got the 60's cuz I wanted a few smaller reels cuz I got plenty of bigger reels........

At Cabelas picking up my reels and the 70/80 size IS a bigger reel than the 60. 60 is same size as the 50 so most of y'all want a 70/80.
