 Requesting information on 2008 Mercury 150 efi

Thinking of buying a boat with a 2008 Mercury 150 efi. I was looking for any information to known problems, durability, etc. on that particular motor. Do they have the ability to check hours and such like the Yamaha hpdi or Opti?
Thank you for any information.. The last boat I ran had the Yamaha hpdi and I had zero problems with it.

Should be able to pull the hours on that motor. No problems with them as long as you do preventative maintenance and run good oil.

Should run serial #`s with Merc dealer to check for warranty work.

Thank you both for information. I do have the serial number so I will check. I will also see about a dealer checking the hours.
