I'm holding a charity tournament at my school and we have run into a problem, we are trying to find a cost effective, but accurate way of weighing bass in the tournament. Would a food/kitchen scale work? What would work that's cost effective?

The Berkley digital scale is $20 at Academy and is very accurate.

I don't know if it helps, but what I've seen on TV a lot is they use the same weigh bay and hand scale to weigh each persons fish, that way if the scale is off, it effects everyone the same.

It would help if you had your location in your profile.

Crappieman where are you located and where are you planning to hold the tournament? If you are near me I am willing to provide you with a set of scales for your tournament. I will come and help with the weigh-in.
