I'll be getting new 2013 Humminbird Sonars (998 and 898 Side Scans) when they are available in the next few weeks and am needing some input about what lake map software .The lakes I will fish most often are Navarro Mills , Purtis Creek, Lake Fork and Richland Chambers. For you guys that have used Lake Master or Navatronics and have fished these same lakes, do you have any reccomendations on which is better software? This will be my first units with map software and looking for some thing accurate, detailed but not overly complicated to use. Any advice?

LakeMaster is owned by the same company that owns HB and MinnKota. I plan to get the new LakeMaster that ties it all together with iPilotLink and a Terrova TM and ethernet them all together. From what I understand, this should be a pretty nice package. I do have a Navionics chip on my older boat with HDS 8 on the console. I never did like Navionics but, that's just me. I doubt either will have Purtis Creek and I know Navionics doesn't, at least on the old version I have.

The LakeMaster Texas/Oklahoma, Version 2 map card has a standard definiton map of Navarro Mills and High Definition maps of Lake Fork and Richland Chambers. Purtis Creek is not covered. LakeMaster will be releasing a "Mid South" map card sometime after the first of the year which will include Tx, Ok, Ark and La. It perhaps will include some new Tx lakes. Check their website in January.
