I was just turned onto them this weekend and I think I am hooked. I believe someone name-dropped ChuckP, but yet again I am unsure if everyone who makes em just does this for hobby/personal use or if anyone sells em?

I think you're right on the name. I think he does build em and sell em. I built mine. They aren't hard to make if you have the equipment to do so.

Since im just getting into cats this yr ive been buying stuff little by little finally sold the bass boat and bought me a toon. And what ive done for an anchor until I can buy a good one is Ive been using a old 24pitch prop. Dont laugh i tied it so when it hits bottom it digs and sticks like glue! Its heavy and holds the toon perfect.

If you ever find yourself in are near Comanche I will give you 2 that weigh about 35lbs each.

If you ever find yourself in are near Comanche I will give you 2 that weigh about 35lbs each. Hate to say it but I cant immagine trying to pull 35+ lbs of anchor up from 45+ FOW (twice)... most of the anchors people are making dont weigh any more that 20 lbs or so so you know damn well that the 35's will hold a boat!
