Mrs Claus has given the ok for 2 new power poles for christmas. Should i push my luck and tell her that the power poles really need a new 1198 to work right (option #1) tell her that 1 power pole and the 1198 really work great together ( option #2) or just take the 2 power poles and run.

My dad always said, Son, even if it's all wrong, it will still be alright

You only live once, next week you could be 6 feet under. So, if you have the means and are passionate about fishing, then go for it all, a pair of power poles and an 1198....

Better to ask for forgiveness than it is permission. (FYI - I am divorced and I probably know why!)

I'd rather have an 1198 , lakemasters chip, and the ipilot!

This way you wont be limited to anchoring in shallow water !!

I have this set up! Love it!

My freind has 2 power poles 10ft and they had us limited this weekend !
My two cents !

I'm not married so I would get all of it!
But if I was married and this came up I'd take the power poles and she would get something later lol

I have a 1197 and 2 power poles and I use all of them a lot. I fish deeper water most of the time, but the power poles can be used to fish deep. For example, if your paralleling a bank with wind behind you, you can use them in deeper water to slow your drift down. Also fishing windy points, set up on the point in 5-6 feet of water and cast off the drop off or point and the poles hold you. Also you can hold yourself on stumps as well with them.

Like I stated earlier, I would get all of the above if you can swing it.
