I've had some trouble finding a good transom saver. With the jack plate setup that I have right now on my VMax 150, I need a transom saver that adjusts to around 46". I've found one at Gander Mountain and after 2 different ones breaking in half during the first use, I need to find a quality one that lasts. What have y'all had luck with?

I have a Lock-n-haul and dont have any complaints, But how does it take the weight off the transom like the TYPICAL ones you see that wedge up against the trailer? just curious.

From what I can see that is a motor support not a transom saver? Looks like the transom would still be flexed from the weight of the engine, where as a transom saver goes against the trailer and supports the weight of the motor.

Just think about what your engine and transom go through while running across the lake in a 20 mph wind or more, now think about what it goes through running 70 down a paved highway or 30 down a gravel road. In other words the old style transom savers are really doing you no good, actually they could cause more damage.
