Just got back from a great trip on Lake Livingston. Guide Simon Cosper had us on the fish from the very beginning. It started out as a Crappie trip, turned into a White Bass trip, and went back to being a Crappie trip. At one point we couldn't keep the White Bass off our hooks, so we went with the flow and started throwing crankbaits. We had the Whites in a frenzy for the next hour or so and when the bite slowed down we went back to catching Crappie. Some unbelievable fishing today! Here are the pics.

Love those slabs and white bass trips...

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I've never seen a string like that one...and I've been fishing Livingston for many, many years. Simon is top notch as a guide and even better as a guy to fish with.
