Yes Grapevine is good. get a lake map so you'll know where these spots are. You can catch lots of black bass off any of the main lake points. specifically around dove loop launching ramp, Katys woods, murrell park, twin coves park. Also a lot of sand bass around them too. Black bass and sandies around the dam. I imagine the catfish are all over. particularly in deep water if you have a boat.

Anyone doing any fishing out here, i just moved right by the lake and don't know much about it.. I live by Grapevine and find it a fun bass fishing lake, although average by Texas standards, even just counting DFW lakes. Pretty good chance you will hook a 4-8 pounder every time you go with more and more Smallmouth bites. My Grapevine videos are boring compared to my Fork and Falcon videos, but gives you an idea.

G'vine has always been a good numbers lake. I grew up in Grapevine. In the 70's a bragging Bass was 5lb.s Now days that's just common. Senko is right. Enjoy the lake now. It gets super busy in the warm weather from ski and party boats,be off the lake by 10am. Night fishin can be good . Enjoy !
