The highroller is good but they dont compare to the klures. I had boxes of Klures, wood choopers, high rollers and Caribe Pavon pro baits. They all will work. Some are easier to work and throw than others. But every guide I fished with instructed me throw the k-lure because of the sound. I was the only one in our group of 8 that had any of the k-lures. The guides even offered to buy the k-lures from me when we we departing.
1- Klure 2- Caribe Pavon prop bait - change all hardware 3- Highroller - the hardware is good but the paint will not last... the fish will eat the paint off of these baits

I was using some modified Choppers that one of the best guides down there gave me to use, he said you throw this all day you catch big fish, he was right, we caught by far the most big fish out of the 40 fishermen that were there. I myself had 31 fish in 6 days of fishing that went from 14-21 pounds.

I'll 2nd that. The outfitters websites have a lot of good information. Most of the outfitters have good rods & reels (most use Curados) for you to use but the variety of lures might be limited. I'd suggest taking some of your own lures. Make sure to beef up the split rings and hooks on any lures you take. Throwing the big prop baits will wear you out so it's a nice change of pace to throw a jerk bait, 1/2 oz. bucktail jig, Zara Spook, or 3/4-1 oz. rattle trap. Sometimes they work better than the prop baits anyway.

I went with River Plate in 2001. Booked with Rod and Gun Resources. We stayed in the float cabins. It was the trip of a lifetime. Do it if you have the chance!
