This is an open invite for the WCC of Houston's Last 2012 Event at Tom Bass Park. Send me a PM if you'd like to join!

This lake is proven to have large buffalo in it. Our current "large buffalo" is 18lbs, so that could go down at this event easily! Also, the Big 4 is a pretty close race. Come out and go for that Gilbert Huxley Rod! Also, there will be a small reception/dinner at my house after (its roughly 5 minutes away) to hand out season prizes and thank everybody for participating.

Event Prize - Kilo (2.2lbs) of boilies thanks to Jason Black!

New participants receive a WCC of Houston T-Shirt and a jar of hook bait boilies thanks to Big Carp Tackle and WCC.

New carp anglers receive pretied hair rigs, a bait needle and bait stops thanks to Big Carp Tackle and I.

Ground Rules:

-Event starts at 7AM. You can start baiting at 6AM. Event ends at 3PM.
-Maximum of 3 rods per fisherman with hooks on them
-No treble hooks
-Grass carp if caught count towards the total
-Mirror carp/koi are double points

This was my first visit to Tom Bass park and it is a very promising lake. Its not very large but it is a super deep and clear lake that is infested with mussels.
Day went very slowly with just a few catfish until Brian broke the blank with a very healthy looking common.



Now I must admit at this point i am circling the drain as far as the tournament goes. I only had the one other Lake Conroe event that even caught anything.. luckily one of those fish was 21 pounds and at the time my only saving grace. That is until I managed this Pig of a Buffalo!





24.6 and my Official PB! This took me from almost last place to third and awarded me Big Four as well as Big Buffalo in the tournament with only a few hours to go before the whole thing was over!

Thanks To Nick Davis for putting all this together for us in Houston and to Wild Carp Club! What a fun tournament! I can't wait to start it up again in 2013!

WTG Justin!!! Nice Buff... I got to get to another event! I can't wait! Finally got Fri/Sat off for the next quarter, I am gonna hit it hard in Beaumont for a Buff, I got some more gear, some special bait that Buffaloman recommended. I also researched the liquid feed attractant and got some PVA so I can only wait until I get out there and compete with your Buff.
