That's a hog!

HOLY COW! Some super fishing by both "Mperkins17" and the "Rionator"! Congrats to "Mperkins17" on his super Trophy 13" Redear which took over first place in the adult division. Also some nice fishing by the "Rionator" who landed three more Trophy Fish in the adult standings. Looks like were going to have one heck of a Contest!



Take advantage of this warm spell. It is going to get a LOT COLDER next week.

We have one heck of a contest shaping up! All five places on the adult board are filled with Trophy Fish. It will take a 12" fish to place. Also there are still three open spots in the junior division and any fish will place. Keep up the GREAT FISHING!



Side Note: Colder weather is on the way. Should be here early next week. Winter patterns will take effect and fish will be in deeper water.

Also where is that 14" Redear!

Nice Redear "mperkins17" and congratulations on your first place standing. Good job. Also those Trophy Fish caught by the "Rionator" look pretty good. Contest fishing at it's best.




Side Note: Just one inch shy of 14". That big one is out there.

Coming into the second weekend of the December Contest. Five Trophy fish have taken all the places in the adult division while there are still three open places in the junior division. Also three solid fish are holding the Big Fish Awards which will be given out at the end of this contest. A 13.75 will tie for the adult award while that elusive 14" Redear will take over the lead. A 12.50" Fish will tie in the Junior Award while a 13" fish will take the lead. A 10.50" Bluegill will tie the Big Fish Adult Bluegill while a 10.75" fish will take over the lead.

This weekend should be pretty good. There is a major cold front on the way for the early part of next week. It is going to get a lot colder. Stay warm and keep enjoying our great outdoors.

Caught this bass on the Comal river. Pleasantly surprised as I was just using a little piece of worm under a float.

Congratulations to "USMC_GY" for winning the Bonus Bass Round. His 17.50" Large Mouth Bass caught on the Comal River was more than enough to seal the deal! Good job.

Bonus Fish Alert: Bonus fish week #2 is the Green Sunfish. Bonus word is "DECK". First angler to catch and post a Green Sunfish that meets the requirements wins.


Bonus Kids Fish Alert: Bonus Kids fish is any of the six Sunfish as described by the Texas Parks&Wildlife Dept. Fresh water species section. The fish can be any length and it can be either one of the six. Bonus word is "SANTA". First Child 9 years of age or younger that catches and post anyone of the six Sunfish wins. (Note) Child Rules must be followed along with all other contest rules.

Your 12.25" Redear will slide you into third place in the adult division. Some mighty good fishing. Good job. Both fish were caught on Lake Dunlap using worms.

Cold front has arrived. Patterns will be changing along with conditions. We managed a trace of rain here in the San Antonio area. Got a chance for more rain this coming weekend. Gonna be seeing a few more bonus rounds also.
