I went out to Canyon lake today for a shake
down cruise with some of the new gear on
my boat. I mainly wanted to try out my
new GPS with the Navionics Gold chip.

In a word awesome. The maps look just like
paper contour maps. Very accurate. On a
number of occasions I picked out humps and
drop offs in the lake and drove right to them. It is worth every bit of what I paid for it. I believe this is a break-through product for fishing. It is for me anyway.

Thanks for the review. I just go the Intellimap 480 in this week and will be ordering the Navionics chip to go with it as well. I will probably test it out on Choke Canyon and then on Toledo Bend. I'll post my findings.
