 Warm December day on the Brazos River

Up early this morning to go check out some water levels and look for some crappie. The river has alot more water in it then it did at this point last year but it is still low. No crappie on this trip but the sandies are in there thick! Caught a limit within a few hours and headed on back to the house.  Bait fish were thick everywhere and these guys were gorging on them. Most of the fish I caught had shad in their mouths when I caught them. I did manage a few LMB but none to brag about. They were sure fat and hungry though!  All in all..A great day on the water! Hard to believe its December!

On my return home I noticed a Fed Ex package on the doorstep...  Maybe I shouldnt have opened it but it was addressed to me...  My wife has never been good at keeping gifts and such on the down low. Looks like Christmas came early for me this year!
