Been eating to much crappie, murky water and not enough sun light.

Bet that it fought pretty hard for its size.... I was gonna ask. Did it fight hard for its size? Yup Did its mouth seem small? Yup Did it have a rough patch on its tongue? Yup (most of the time) Did its markings look prettier? Yup Catch a few more and you'll practically know the difference before you get em in the boat.

Before Richland Chambers took in Lake Corsicana, we used to catch a lot of those. Locals around here called them Kentucky Bass.

Whats wrong with spots ? I like them. The larger ones are beautifully shaped.

Nothing wrong with them, i just dont think its good for a lake to have a huge population of them co existing with largemouths. seems like rayburn they are getting more numerous. If i remember correctly, they took over Alan Henry,

If i remember correctly, they took over Alan Henry, I agree, so frustrating to pull up on a deep spot lately & get bit every cast by 9" bait swipers. I have seen some spots on rayburn in the past that had a mix of spotted bass and big female largemouth but it has been a long time.
