Me and Kyron were wondering what the fish were doing down on Hickory Creek so we ran down to one of our favorite spots and wham! We thought it was going to be easy but it was far from it and although the wind wasn't brutal it was difficult to fish a few other spots we had in mind. We stayed with it and the live well was starting to look good. Somebody dropped three pigs in a row back into the lake, not mentioning any names, but it wasn't Kyron. However all the slabs after that paid the price of my humility. If you look closely you can see that some of their heads are grossly snatched to the side.  Got a few pics below.  Todays catch 21 crappie and a couple catfish.

It was truly a blessing being on the water again. You're right, somebody was handing "get out of jail" free cards to the crappie on yesterday..I thought for a moment that your hook had vaseline on it Mr. JD... As always, I enjoyed fishing with you my brother...fish on!!!

jd,were u using that pro angler rod to grossly snatch their heads to the side? lol! I was working my ProAngler and my old Wally Marshall with a smoke body from Bobby Garland. Last spring Griff and I ran into Lane Palmer up Lacy Creek. He gave us some Thump Buddies to try out. I was impressed, that thump buddy was slamming. I don't see the color on his web page so I will have to inquire about it.

Excellent catch good mix of fish. I know where they come from they are safe for now the wind will blow the next few days.
