After my friend told me about the site, I jokingly said I was gonna go by the name 20lberorbust. He said thats the dumbest thing he ever heard and that no one would respond to anything I said with a name like that.

I called his bluff! smile

Started fishing a Zara Spook about 40 yrs ago, when I needed a handle I went with ZSPOOK, I still stay with this bait longer than I should most days.

When the need arises--and it does--you must be able to shoot your own dog.Don't farm it out--that doesn't make it nicer.it makes it worse.

RHP- Right Handed Pitcher- got so used to seeing that next to my name that I use it for a handle on the computer. Now I can't throw a ball hard enough to scare my 11-year old daughter.

Well lets see.... bird-dog (my nickname) was taken. I had never really checked out this site before and didnt know if it would be any good, so it was one of those things where I just put down something to get in. There was no time or thought put into this one (as you can probably already tell.) Maybe I should change it but... then it just wouldnt be like me anymore.

Anyone guess what kind of boat I have and why I chose this handle. Wish I was more original like some of you guys.

Well, it's kinda my nickname that I embellished a little. My nickname is Krust and the BN stands for Big Nasty, which was one of my personal inside witticisms. Being 6'4" and 250+ also plays into it a little as well... laugh

Went looking for some tackle through one of my Tackle boxes, you know it was something I knew I had, a pack of hooks or something, tearing through ALL my tackle and had it scattered all over the garage and living room. Wife asked why I was in a frenzy, she was not happy. Told her I was in a Fishing Frenzie. Started using it when I went online about 5 year's ago as it seemed every other handle I tried was taken.

my first boat was 15' long.
myself and 2 buddies would fish together.

my 2 buddies would flip a coin to see who had to fish in the middle of the boat.

you see i set the hook like Juan Gonzales swinging at a low and outside pitch.

at some point the middle person was going to get hit by my rod.

i've toned it down a little, but the nickname has stuck.

HOOKSET!!!

Hooksets are free, use as many as you like.

My brother named me Perchsearcher because, when the bass fishing was slow, I'd break out a flyrod and catch some perch. It wasn't a complimentary name, but it was apt, and I've actually named a couple of my boats Perchsearcher. Bass are my primary target, although I do enjoy fly fishing for trout when we can get away to cooler climes.

When I first got out of college, I was a stockbroker, but not a very good one, so on the few occasions I would make a sale, everyone in the office would say, "The Jimin8r, makin' a sale"...

Jethro is from the Latin version of the Greek derivative of the Redneck mispronunciation of Jeff.
