No great deliberation here. My initials and my badge #. Ok, after meeting several of you at tournament and BPS, I figured it was easier to have a name than initials and numbers. So I just changed it to Dadda, my 16 yr old daughter has called me Dadda for ever, so Dadda it is and no longer dml352.

A co-worker friend of mine saw a bumper sticker in an Orvis store and said she just had to buy it for me. It reads: Fish control my brain. The wife certainly agrees.

Mine not too imaginative, just my initials and basser. A little dull I suppose. Streak who or what do you write for? Mark or Probass is also a freelance writer/ firefighter.

I got my name playing Counter Strike and Halo online. There is nothing like sniping someone on the run!! And I love when they reply "Give me a break...I just got wasted by a candy bar"

My handle comes from me fishing a lot as a kid, but then getting completely away from it for about 25 years. Came back to fishing about 3 years ago, and it was kind of like the prodical son coming home.

I got the nick name "Hoss" early in my Air Force career. I was stationed on a remote communications site on a mountain top in Turkey with 31 other guys for 13 months. Just about everybody had a "handle", usually picked and agreed upon by consensus of the guys there at the time. Hoss pretty well fit and it has stuck with me since then. In fact, more people know me as Hoss rather than Nathan.

After growing up with the name Artie-think of anything that rhymes with Artie and I've been called that at least 1000 times- some of my friends have started calling me Art. And my wife is an erstwhile artist. I tell people she's into all kinds of Art. Can you guess what I spend most of my time fishing for?

Wow!! What an interesting string!! I enjoyed that! This is one of the few times I didn't actually use my "handle" as my display name. I thought using my regular old nickname would be novel for a change. Folks I've known for years, and my bass club friends all call me "Porko". When Strike King first came out with that bait I fell in love with it!! I threw my first Porko on Old Hickory, Cumberland River in Nashville, TN. In 1992 I brought that habit with me and used it religiously during the spring over here in north TX. Everyone I knew called me Porko, on the CB radio, at the club meetings, at the lake, it didn't matter... it's sort of like ol "Spinnerbaker", it just stuck!
Nowadays, fewer and fewer people know about them, so the new friends hear that and figure it's just because I'm 6'2" and 220 pounds worth of lovable old baldheaded bassfishing grandpaw (don't let that fool ya, I'm still in first place for points in the Cast-A-Way Bass Club, and I still like to compete! LOL).
TFF has been the source for newer friendships and some great information (like this string and becoming buds with Bazz). Keep it coming guys and don't get emotional! wink
