I tried search on this, but heck guys, confused. Moved 997si to bow, brand new 1198 to console. Not linked. Transducer on TM is for the 997si, about 4-5 times today it just locked up/froze, had to master power down then restart. Very frustrating considering first day out since install. Any ideas?

Did you wire direct to the Cranking Battery? That is the number thing to do and make sure you are getting ample voltage and Current it take both to properly power a unit. Just like you could supply the same water pressure with a 1/2" hose and a 2" hose but you won't get the same amount of flow and the 2" can fill up a bucket faster with water or put out a fire for a fireman....firemen don't use a garden hose to fight a fire???

Doug, have you heard anything regarding when iPilotLink will be available? Also, LakeMaster chip that works with iPilotLink? And, I guess the HB update to work with all the new stuff?

Around the End of the Year or Right after the First of the Year is what I heard for iPilot Link, 2013 LakeMaster Charts and SOftware will becoming around the same time for all of this so it will be ready for release.

I bought another boat 5 months ago (97 stratus 201PE) and my TM unit will shut off everytime I try and start the outboard engine. How can I prevent this? Is my starting battery going bad?

Gonzz One or more of the following:
Weak battery (too old or too small) Battery not completely charged Loose or corroded battery terminals Weak fuse holder (if the glass type) Wire too small from the battery to the unit power cord (causing voltage drop from resistance due to distance)

Thanks. Will check voltage on battery. I think it's going bad. Should I be running electronics on starting battery?

I am looking at buying a Hummingbird 596c hd di. Was wondering if anyone has anything good or bad to say about that unit. I am a rookie with sonar.

@ Canoe Man I've got one. I've got that mounted on my trolling motor. Worked great! No issue. I loved it!

Humminbird 596 hd di has been a very, very popular if not one of the most popular models of Humminbird selling right now. And has been performing very well.

What size removeable card would be best for the 798ci HD SI? And which runs better, Lakemaster or Navionics?
