went out this past weekend on the bank, we night fished and had a bit of luck. put 2 in the cooler but that was about it, first hit was around 7, and the second was at around 4am. we fished the last spot on primrose point but i wouldnt suggest it, they just arent getting too far up in those shallow coves. Id suggest a spot around campsites 10 or 11 to get at some deeper water. I got a redfish bite but the hook didnt set. mangled the tilapia up pretty bad. Its tough getting shad during the day right now since they seem to have moved off a bit deeper because of the cold. the warmer weather this week mightve changed up the paterns a bit but id suggest the area at campsites 10 or 11. but on sunday during the day, there were no fish really being caught from the bank besides the guys yaking out their lines.

I think the tilapia make good cut bait too. I went out to lake Travis last weekend with the gf for a couple hours and I hit a big school of tilapia with the net and they worked very well as bait. Caught several fish from the bank between 5-15 pounds and a couple other big takedowns that came unhooked. Also, I believe this applies to all lakes but if you catch a tilapia, it's illegal to throw it back without killing it. Same with a grass carp I think. It's in the TPW booklet.
