When do they usually turn off the aerators at Grapevine? I guess that's the purpose of them. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

There is a couple of treatment plants up in denton creek but that isn't the reason for the aerator. The aerator is used counter stratification that leads to taste issues. After the lake turns over it is no longer needed until temperatures rise again.

I build water/waste water plants. Yes there is TREATED waste water going into just about every river, creek, reservoir, lake and every other body of water you can think of. But its treated, either with chemicals, UV, or ozone. Truth be told the water coming into your homes is just as bad. Have you seen the inside of a pipeline thats been in service more than 2 years? Your fresh drinking water flows through pipes that have a coating of 1/4" to 2" thick of rust.

Glad I have my own well, that being said you are correct every water atuherity in the state that uses surface water treats thier waste and returns it to the closest stream which feeds back to the lake.

What most dont realize is they are NOT releasing solids, or human waste. The "waste" water they are releasing is sterile, clean and lump free. lol

Whatever it is, they need to release a lot more if it, that lake is too low for my liking.
