Slow and tough.Bite is up and down from day to day. Find some shallow shad. Bass are nearby.

Went Monday on north end caught three, it looks like the lake is turning over.

Went last week. Only caught them on cranks and only one color would work. Had to be gizzard shad or you wouldn't get touched. I didn't believe it until buddy made it 8-0 and I had thrown everything in the box. Once i switched to gizzard shad, I started catching. Backs of coves in 10 feet or less around brush and docks. No real size, nothing over 3.5

I went out on thanksgiving on lake Conroe caught 10 hybrids 5 bass but only 3 were keepers and my dad caught 1 big striper Which was surprising. We caught all of them on crankbaits the bite stayed consistent until I broke of on the crankbait that was catching them all which was a bill dance fat free shad tennessee shad color. All of them caught 10 to 15ft deep.

Went over the weekend caught 4 most of them came off brush piles caught on crankbaits,carolina rigs and chatter baits it was slow this time

I fished a week ago and caught six on football jigs. Three came off brush piles and three off a drop off that went from 7 to 19', all bites came from the deep side. I lost a pig at a drop off when I was fishing a 12" worm Texas rigged.

I've been whacking small fish from the little bit I can bank fish. Been catching 3-5 fish an hour on traps. Considering the limited range I have to fish, I'd have to think you could catch some smaller fish in other shallow spots on the same (usually can in a normal Conroe winter).

Went this past Saturday for a few hours. Tried several baits with no success. Finally caught seven small ones on a watermelon seed trick worm fished on a shakey head. Caught them all along a 75 yard stretch of rocks in 5 to 9 feet of water.
