No there isn't. Maybe looking for a used kayak is a option?

I wouldn't buy an Outback with your money. I rented a couple last summer in the Keys for a couple of days, and that's enough for me. The seating position is terrible, the pedals are too close for anyone taller than Tom Cruise, and when I did adjust the pedals as far out as possible, they hit the hull when I pedaled.

wonder if your were in the hobie sport. i have an outback and am 6 foot 2 and no problems with it. i have the pedals in the halfway setting too. outback is muuuch lighter than pro angler is why i use it. get a used outback for 1200 or so.

I have an outback and love it! If I had the money right now I'd have a PA 12. Love hobies.

Gotreal, they were Outbacks (and an Adventure). I looked for PA's and weight is the reason everyone gave for not using them in their rental fleets. But I think cost is just as much a factor. There is a significant cost difference between the Outback and the Pro Angler.

I have a friend who is over 6 foot and he loves his Outback. Try before you buy and make sure the dealer sets it up right for you.

That is my point exactly. We rented the Outbacks expecting them to be the best thing we could get, but for us at least, they weren't. For the record, I'm 6'5". But my wife is 5'10" and she wasn't comfortable in it either.

Also, to TX-Angler, try to envision how you will use it. I'm not going to paddle mine across Ray Hubbard or Fork. I have a bass boat for that. I want it for fishing small waters that are not easily accessible from a conventional boat. My kayaking is done on rivers and small ponds and lakes where boating is either not allowed or restricted in some way.

I love my Outback. Bought mine in 2010 got another due to a warranty replacement this year also upgraded to the turbo fins. I really got no complaints about it. Very comfortable & stable for me, but then again I'm only 3' 11" & only 80 lbs.... rolfmao
