Still saving for a PA and almost there! I was wondering what advantages does the PA 12 have over the 14 and vise versa? I know that the weight capacity is bigger on the 14 but what else?

The 12 fits on top of a car easier.

Every kayak will have its advantages and disadvantages, its all going to depend on what type of fishing you do. As of two days ago, Im no longer a PA owner but that could change in the future. If you fish just for bass like the majority here the PA12 will do you just fine, if you want to go BTB a 12 would probably work but Id suggest you get a bigger boat! Bob and I fish salty water, catfish and the occasional crappie, the PA 14 has been excellent for this! Im sure Robbie will chime in since he owns the 14 but used the 12 in the HWC.

I like the PA 14 due to extra room for gear and I feel the added lenght gives me additional stability for standing. Both great boats.

The 12 foot model has 4 horizontal rod holders and the 14 has 6. other than that the 14 is longer and wider which will make it track better and will be more stable.

There is nothing out there better. You have to decide which one is the better fit for you.
One nice consolation . . . you cannot go wrong with either one!

I have the 14 which I love but I use it as a mother ship for guide trips. I have bait tanks, rods for 3 people, gear, etc, etc. It is heavy and it is a beast. If you dont have a trailer, go the 12 route. The main reason why I went with the 14 is the extra rod holders so I have some extra security when navigating through the surf every day. If the 12 had the stroage that the 14 has I would be in that boat for sure. If you are just carying your gear.....get the 12 in my opinion.

The PA14 is "A LOT" more stable then the PA12. It has a capacity of two more rods then the 12. The PA12 turns sharper and is a little less in weight.(18lbs difference.)138lbs VS 120lbs. The 12 is easier to move around on the shore. As always I recommend you demo both before you open your billfold.
