I've read new penny, plum/chartreuse, pearl/chart, but never fished Rollover Pass, so no idea. Jean Scurtu, who in my mind is Rollover King uses Grub Minnows and plenty other people think bright colors work.
There are a bunch of threads in here on that

Molting is a good color also...

You need to look at the posts on Jean Scurtu's profile. He always posts pictures with the fish and the bait used.

Last fall ,one day in October at ROLLOVER PASS some fisherman fishing close with me with GULP SHRIMP 3" new penny have no bite and because saw i was catching flounder with GULP MINNOW GRUB 3" PEARL ,change with white shrimp and start to have bite and catch some flounder. Later with the same GULP MINNOW GRUB 3" pearl i was catching one 40 inch red fish (C&R).I was catching many small flounder ,5 keeper and many sand trout, but not specks.
The water was not clear and i think the new penny is good in clear water not in stain water but i not sure because i don't fish with new penny how long i catching many fish with pearl ,chartreuse.I don't have new penny lure in my tackle box. I now many fisherman's like new penny, but i don't have reason to use new penny catching many fish with pearl and chartreuse.

Last year i was catching most of the flounder on GULP MINNOW GRUB 4" pearl ,because i don't find in the store 3",but i cut one inch from my grub and so i have more bite and fish.
This year at ROLLOVER PASS work better for flounder,GULP MINNOW GRUB 2",3" chartreuse.
In this picture taking by Ed Snyder you can see what i was using last fall to catch flounder(GULP MINNOW GRUB 4"pearl ,but i cut on inch from this grub):

3inch new penny works for me. I was using on a 1/4 oz jig head, now i buy some no3 hooks with 2 inch shank, thread the whole thing down to the tail, and use a 1/4 oz bullet weight, like a texas worm rig..been good on the flounder.

I believe that when fishing Gulp...any obnoxious color gets the flounder stirred up. White, pearl, fluorescents.

Right now the Flounder are on the move and eating everything they see on the way to the Gulf. Any bait in any color moved across there nose will draw a strike. Just make it look real! I have been catching them on Bass Assassins, Gulps, Corky's, and even caught one on a topwater a few days ago.

I picked up a small pack of the molting as well.. I am surprised at the time there were no pearl ?? but I do have some white grub tails that I may be able to make work if all else fails.. I'm going next Friday and will have to figure the tide out now to see what side will be best..
