We went this morning,11-20-2012, lost one big red at the boat,we caught about 10 fish each kept around 6.Followed the birds but there weren't to many fish under them. Each flock might have on or two fish.But we had a blast. threw white ,shrimp colored flukes 6" on a 1/4 oz jig head. fished the texas side from the causeway bridge up past the houses or the left<texas<side. water depth was about 10-12 feet.

Had a pretty good first-time trip down to Sabine Lake this past weekend. We caught about 70 specks, 4 flounder, 4 largemouth, and a dozen redfish over 2 and half days. Worse day was with a guide the first day, where we only got 12 to hand, did much better on our own. Seems like a lot of folks were hammering them all last week then Sat and Sun got tough. Would have been great if the size had been better, think we had 7 fish over 24 inches and most of those were reds. Caught one good flounder. Fished under birds and on flats off the ICW using side imaging to find bait. Would love to hookup with a local next year and take them out or pay for his gas - need a little more help in finding spots.
