The harder you drive that boat, the harder it will be to put back together. Stress it enough and it WILL break!!!! Yup tell people that all the time

Boy did I learn a lesson at Falcon that day.. My little bass tracker had a tough time getting back to the county ramp.. This is my first boat and I had no idea how rough that lake could get or how my boat would handle it.. You will never see me out on a body of water that big again when the winds might be that heavy.. Not trying that again..
One of the tourney guys pulled up next to us and stayed with us on the way in.. He stayed along the side of us.. He was worried that we might get blown over.. BIG Thanks to him !!! We took it easy on the way in and he stayed right with us.. Went to Dunlap today and enjoyed the day.. Caught some nice fish too.. I think I will stick to the smaller lakes in my bass tracker.. I love my little boat, but it is not built for those conditions on big lakes..

To all the guys saying they will "put their boat up against someone else's"..... What exactly does that mean? What are you trying to prove?

I live on the north side Chris.. 281 and TPC Parkway.. That was really cool of you to hang beside me and my dad. I was pretty worried on the way in and when you did that I was even more worried.. LOL.. But grateful.. I kept looking over at you.. I told my Pops he must be worried about our current situation..
We were glad we decided not to go any further south than we did.. I knew the front was coming and I know my boat dont handle the wind real well.. But the forecast was only for 10 mph winds. They got that wrong.. It was such a beautful morning too.. Lake was like glass.. We caught a few fish on spinnerbaits in shallow water up against the banks.. Thanks again for watching out for us.. That was real cool..

Oh yeah Falcon and the wind. The first time I went there it was during a strong front and I speared 2 waves, after the first one I thought to myself "holy chit I'm crazy". After the second one I turned around. Nothing like seeing a wave of water come over the bow.

Airik I made that mistake early this season and ran to the dam from county and had a hard 40+ wind pick up. I opted to try and outrun the blow back....that was beyond stupid as my brain didnt register that it had already come DOWN the darn lake.
I drove the stumpfield from just above pierces cover all the way to the first set of foundations in the river. The main channel had gotten so bad I couldnt climb the waves without stuffing either the nose or the back.
My biggest fear was you running too close to the rock piles in there. That and your nose being so high for potential gust issues but I just wanted to make sure you were gonna get in okay. Id rather look out for a fellow boater take a little extra time and make sure your safe than run my arse in stay a little drier and find out something bad happened.
Word of advice...when the northern sky looks like "the day after tomorrow" movie cover...stay close at Falcon lol

What Lizard said!
I currently run a Skeeter and it is a great fishing boat but I don't think it rides as good as my Champion did in rough water. IMHO the Champion had an above average ride when it got choppy or rough. Probably due to the Champ hull design.

I've had the priviledge of riding in some great boats. These included Ranger, Skeeter, Champion, Triton, all were great because of one thing: They put me on the water for a day of fishing. How a boat handles in rough water or any water depends on its operator. I've been in some rough water with mine and it did fine, because I drove it manner that would ensure my safety and my passengers. Be safe guys and cherish what you have, Everyone can not say that they have a nice bass boat.

The worst conditions will seperate the men from the boys. Or if you're in San Francisco, a crowbar can do the same thing.
