We had an Open tournament there last weekend. Everyone caught lots of fish. One team said they caught over 100. We are having another Open at Welsh this weekend(11/17).

I talked to them at the ramp.
I think it was around 19 lbs.
Does sound like fun. I believe they are fishing this weekend and taking the Thanksgivng weekend off. Then picking back up. I would like to fish some of these after Thanksgiving myself.

Sorry guys I just saw the questions. Had 5 boats but are expecting more this week. We fish from around 6:20-2:30. Entry is $60 a boat. Team or individual. It took 19#s to win. Only 1 limit but everyone caught fish.

Hope to see some of Y'all there Saturday.

The Lake level is really good. It has more water in it than the last two years by a foot at least.

Went to Monti and Welsh last weekend, Water temps were between 80-90 on both lakes, hotter at discharge. Welsh was slow with a few small fish, however Monticello was a blast! We caught fish all day including a few over 5lbs. Spent most of the day in Smith and Blundell throwing topwaters and spinnerbaits, 20lb line or heavier is a must as we learned very quickly. Wish I was there now! Hate this whole work thing...
