Here's the report. Had a great day on the water and picked up about 20 fish 8 on a size 16 cahill and 1 on a grey knat. The rest were caught on near deer, I bought off of Tarponfly. Thanks Carey! Good meeting you.

Ok what is the trick to fishing these dang near deer flies! I bought some and can't figure it out? Are you high sticking them like a midge under a float? Or are you bouncing them along the bottom?

How would a minnow or a crawdad act in the water column or if it got confused and bumped the bottom? A #22 emerger has to have a perfect drift and presentation for the fish to hit the fly. A crawdad/minnow has no path due to they make their own feeding lane and go where they please, unlike a fly drifting with the current. If you see me down there, or have been on a trip with me, we don't just go to three spots and roll cast for three hours. - if your up to it, we cover a lot of water and find the feeding fish. That's why my numbers are so high. After awhile the fish know that your fly is something stupid and won't bite it.... So, Move! Last week the Spillway was better fishing, this week the EH areas were better. Lots agreed.
The honey hole in SC was great ritht at sunup, But, the Otters messed our hole up bad. We saw over 50 fish scatter as they came bouncing through. 5 ft away or so. This was the first time I have seen them in the upper end of the spillway. And there were three of them.

In my reports, I don't just use ND's all the time. Eggs and RS2's are great right now too, with the fronts rolling through.
