Woke up this morning pretty late...noticed the wind finally died down...loaded up the kayak and fished timber for about 4 hours...one big bite but didn't get to see it.....line broke right at the knot....not a single crappie on timber 4-15 feet...i covered a good amount of timber
Decided to fish for sandies or hybrids... was slowing paddling out...when i got to about 25' ...my screen lit up like it was christmas!!
it was almost dark... ended up with 2 solid hybrids... 2 stupid yellows...
oh yeah...forgot the most important part of the story...was fishin @ LAKE X!!! LOL....

Ive got the week of thanksgiving off, gonna get some fishin done then. Probably hit Lake Y.

I work by eagle mountain a lot and it looks real fishy. Is it worth the drive from Mansfield? Where's a good put in to find some crappie or sand bass?

I wished someone would have told about their spot when I started yakking, but I did the old fashion way of finding it myself. My spot is no super secret place. If you take the time to read through my posts, you'll know where I'm fishing. Do a little reading & research & you'll know. Crappie can be caught all around my XXX creek...lol

Sandys are out in the middle on humps and ledges. I catfish and do ok at it. There's tons of places to put in at. Just depends on where you want to fish and for what.
