Dillard and Ronquillo take the Squaw Creek Showdown with 20.06 pounds. Well after all the smack talk from truck to truck on our way to the lake which Shipe could not seem to find this morning. That is what happens when you get off your comfort lakes...you cant even find the ramp. We hit the water and Shipe is moving so fast you would of thought he was in the Bassmasters Classic. You can tell he is gonna give it his all. After the BPS tourney on Grapevine was cancelled he was just itching to get out and prove himself. He was teamed up with his "old" partner...some guy they call Gaucamole. We just nicknamed him "dead weight" as he was about 45 minutes late this morning and showed up still drunk. This was gonna be easy I thought. At take off we go in opposite directions. They head towards the dam and Jesse and I head towards the creeks. Our day started off fast and furious. We started with a topwater in shallow water and stayed with that pattern all day given the conditions. We boated around 40 fish. By 8:30 we had around 20 pounds. Shot a lil video and sent it to Clay and Gauc. From that point on I think the day was pretty much a wrap for them. lol. They did report that they caught over 100 fish on spinnerbaits and cranks. They had a limit for 16.17. We all had a great time well except for maybe Shipe...I will let the look on his face in the pic below tell the story... Why does he look so mad? Maybe because of the pic below...lol Better luck next time..."Chip and Dip". LMAO PS. No bass were harmed during the process of this showdown or while being photographed for "stringer pics". For those concerned.

Those fish are all chunks and doesn't look like they are having a hard time finding something to eat. Would like to see a 24" fish out of there and see what it weighs.

Great report! Sounds like you fellas had a great time and executed in all three phases of the game. Is this feud gonna move on to a 'best-two-out-of-three' series with some cash and a trophy involved? Just sayin'.....

he was about 45 minutes late this morning and showed up still drunk. Hey, I still managed to beat you to clays house! That was pure luck. Plus it was hard to get out of bed...I was in pain. Torn "sternum" muscles are painful. Honestly I was just happy to leave the lake in one piece this time. Everytime I set the hook Jesse would say..."Take it easy!" Lol But anyways...WHO CARES? RAISE YOUR HAND AND RECIEVE A GOLD STAR. OH LOOK...a piece of candy!

Hell I didn't want to have to leave the lake early cause the man hurt himself again I'm not so caring , no trips to the boat ramp for ambulances I want to get my 30 dollars worth, The man hurts himself again he's going to lay down in the boat until I'm done fishing. Lol
