If its 2011 or newer, it's the same hull as a 2010 TR18 SE and 2009 & prior TR186. They are really good hulls & fish well for an 18' boat. Be sure to get a 150 on it

I have fished out of one quite a bit, and from my experience, it is a solid boat that fishes well. I've fished several tourneys in my buddies with him and never had any issues.

The TR186 is stable boat, top speed w/150 approx 62 with my set up. Wish the 18.8 was a 20.0 footer on big water.

I have a 2008 18 Explorer and its plenty of boat for me. I have the 115 and it runs great. I wouldnt put it in really rough water but then again I wouldnt be out in really rough water. Overall for the price I paid I am pleased with mine.

I also have an 18 explorer. It's a 2008. Bought it new and honestly I couldn't be happier with it. If your looking for something fast than yOu might be disappointed. I have a mercury 90 on mine and the fastest I have seen it on GPS is 42. As far as the fishing goes it really is plenty for me. My cousin and I can fish off the front of the boat with no problems. Plenty of storage. Only recommendation that I would say is go with a single console. Let me know if you have any questions.

I purchased a new year 2011 Triton 18 Explorer, dual console, 150 Mercury (never been on the water) a couple of months ago. Been a great boat, have had it in semi rough water, and it rides really great. In medium chop rides very smooth... have had it up to 60MPH, but most of the time run it about 45mph. Lots of storage room....
