Heard he fished during off limits. And is DQ. Hate it for him, he's a good guy.

Guys, I also fished this tournament and I'm a good friend of Brian Modisette. I would like to clear this up so stones aren't unfairly thrown at him. Brian orginally didn't make the National Championship because of his finishing at regionals. Since he didn't make Nationals, he fished a tournament on Rayburn a couple of weeks ago not expecting to fish nationals. Anyhow, since the hurricane hit the North East of the country there were a LOT of drop outs so two days before tournament time, Brian and another co-angler was called to fill those spots. The tournament director apparently got calls yesterday about him fishing that tournament two weeks ago, he didn't get the DQ, he decided to forfeit his catch. This goes two ways, 1. Whoever called Brian should have asked if he had been on rayburn during the off-limits period, Brians front door is 100 yards from the lake. 2. Brian should have told them when the TD called for him to fill that spot that he fished during the off-limits period. Obviously, there was a foul on both parts and I just wanted to let you all know the whole story before anything was assumed or rumored. Brian is a stand up guy and would never do anything to give him an advantage over others. I hope this helps clear the air.

Yea that's the truth. Its just a bad deal, I really hate it for him. He is a good guy.

This is a great Tournament Trail, if you have never fished a draw format circuit but think you might want to I highly recommend it. Its a long shot, but every year the winning boater of Nationals wins $100,000.00 and gets to fish in the Bass Master Classic. The winning Co Angler will win $50,000 today. The trail is very professionally ran, and it,s a pretty low entry considering what you get.

No one was trying to bash Brian. I see he is from Broaddus and was pulling for him. I was disappointed when I saw the zeros. That is a tough break

Brian is a good dude!!! I drew him last year in a tournament and he's a blast to fish with. We stayed with him earlier in the year when we were fishing the BFL. His shoulder was messed up at the time so he had food ready for us everyday after practice. I really hate that happened to him. We were gonna drive 2 hours today to watch him weigh in.
