ya its holy beach road. Its a dirt road out towards the bay. I havnt been down there in along time so I have no clue what the roads are like. I think we are going to take the skiff out today and toss some live bait see what happens,.

One last suggestion Anchovy. You are going to be fishing over grass beds most of the time. Use 1/8 ounce jigheads on soft plastics. If you see sandy "holes" in the grass make sure that you cast just beyond them and pull the lure over the spot. Trout love to position themselves just off to the side of sandy holes and ambush bait as it swims by. Sometimes, dropping the rod tip to kill the motion of the bait will draw strikes. Sometimes a drop followed by a quick jerk will work. I love to use Spooks in bone or red and white and walk the dog until over the hole and pause it for a few seconds. Vary your techniques and the fish generally tell you what they want. Don't be afraid to experiment. Keep a good lookout for birds. If they are hovering low and plucking bait then they are generally over bait that fish are chasing. Have fun, I loved the Lower Laguna.
