Not when using the one's with a polished bore, like Picasso.

I was using strike kings tungstens and broke off several fish on the hook set the next day I caught one of the fish with my plastic and hook still in her mouth the line was snapped about two inches above the knot. I do check my line frequently and am confident that the line was not damaged I was in an area with no cover. I have since talked to several people that told me that the tungsten wights a notorious for this??

I don't like the finish on the SK Tungsten weights. Even though they have no insert, the finish on the painted ones is very rough. That may be what's damaging your line.

I switched back to good ol' lead and havent broke off since but i really like the smaller profile of the tungstens. I guess i will give the picasso weights a try.

I've had no problems with Eco-Pro, Picasso, Strike King, or Vike.

Angler's Pro Tackle has some very good tungsten weights at very reasonable prices.

Check 'em out, I think you will find them of very good quality.
