This time of year fish hollow body frogs in the west end of the lake by the fishing pier and further west into the shallows. After the morning bite, move back to the first break line and fish a jig and craw.

Typically fishing the first break line means fishing the first thing that is different from the bank. This could be a drop off, hump, submerged vegetation or anything else that the fish may key on away from the bank. For example, if you are fishing the bank and it slowly goes from 1ft..2ft...3ft...4ft... And then sharply drops to 10ft, that would be the first break. A lot of times in the early morning as the water warms up the bass will cruise the shallows for baitfish. But as the day moves on they may move to that first break and use it as an ambush point. It's a good technique used by many anglers. Good luck at Tyler and let us know how it goes.

Well, sorry for the late response!!! The camping trip was fun my family and I had a GREAT TIME out there, plus it was a church thing so it was a lot of us out there. Saturday morning...... Let me start by saying WOW!!!! As you know this past weekend was very windy..... I was up and Adam by 5 am (thinking to myself the earlier I'm on the water the better right..... You would thing.....) it was my first time me using the waders. That didn't work too well for me...... Let just say I'm a big boy.... Medium husky if you know what I mean....LOL!!! I weight 240 lbs on a good day!!! I didn't realize that you aren't going tone that Mobil in them..... Well you know what I mean right? We are in Yaks, you know there not that much room.... I'm the type of person once I get to where I want to be I drop anchor and I kick my feet off the side and fish like that. Well I almost lose my Abu gracias sliver max bait caster by kicking it...... Good thing it was in the Scotty rod holder.... And the next thing that happen I got one of my crank bait treble hook hung on my live vest. I when to shore, cut the line got some pliers pull.... Guess what happen next...... I got the treble hook lose.... Now at this point I had not only one hook stuck it was two hooks...... Guess where??? Not on the vest..... In my left hand..... Under my thumb.... My thumb goes num after a min or so! there I'm trying to pull the hook out with the pliers I finally finish doing that..... And I stopped fishing for that weekend!! Maybe next time said the old wise man!!! That is my story for our trip to Tyler!!
